It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of LaVerne Russomanno, a beloved teacher, counselor, and mentor at CBC High School, who passed away last month at the age of 82. LaVerne dedicated over two decades of her life to educating, guiding, and supporting generations of students, leaving an indelible mark on the CBC community. Her legacy of wisdom, compassion, and integrity continues to inspire all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by students, colleagues, and families alike.
LaVerne Russomanno served at CBC High School from 1983 to 2006, first as a math teacher and later as a school counselor. Throughout her 23 years of service, she exemplified professionalism, dedication, and a genuine commitment to the growth and development of the young men under her guidance. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom; she provided guidance, encouragement, and mentorship, helping students to discover their strengths, pursue their ambitions, and develop into responsible, confident, and compassionate individuals.
Her impact on the school community is immortalized on the Lasallian Legacy Wall, where a plaque near the Cadet Learning Center honors her contributions:
