It is with deep sorrow that the family of Mihail Sgouras announces his passing on Monday, 2nd March 2026. Mihail was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, and treasured uncle. His loss leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, and his life will be remembered for the love, kindness, and unwavering devotion he shared with his family and community.

Mihail lived a life of generosity and commitment to those he loved. He was a pillar of strength for his family, offering guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their lives. His warmth, humility, and dedication made him a source of comfort to family, friends, and colleagues alike. Mihail’s character and integrity were evident in all that he did, and his memory will remain a lasting example of love, compassion, and devotion.

The viewing will be held at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 180 Coward Street, Mascot, on Wednesday, 11th March 2026 at 5:00 p.m., offering friends and family an opportunity to pay their respects and honor his remarkable life. The funeral service will follow at the same location on Thursday, 12th March 2026 at 10:30 a.m., where loved ones will gather to celebrate Mihail’s life, share memories, and offer prayers for his eternal rest.

Following the service, the committal will take place at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, 12 Military Road, Matraville, and the wake will be held at the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park Function by Celeste, 49 Military Road, Matraville. These gatherings provide a space for family, friends, and community members to reflect on Mihail’s life, honor his legacy, and offer comfort to one another during this time of mourning.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Limbs for Life Foundation at the church, a cause dear to Mihail’s heart, allowing his memory to continue making a positive impact on others.

The family extends their sincere gratitude for the expressions of sympathy, condolences, and support received during this difficult time. The outpouring of love and care has provided comfort and strength as they remember and honor Mihail Sgouras.
